Take a little look inside the course here
I am passionate about painting, especially about painting flowers! It's a way for me to connect with my inner 'Happy' and I deeply want to share that with you through my art and teaching.
My classes focus on using bright colours and mark making, combined in a layering technique, that will help you develop and build a solid, creative skill set, sprinkled with a dose of joy... because the 'happy' is in the process.
Step-by-step concise courses, divided into short manageable lessons where I guide you through each layer of creating beautiful floral artworks.

Hello! and a very warm welcome, I am delighted that you have joined 'Birdsong & Blossoms'. In this module, I chat with you about what to expect from this course. I have designed it to be completed over a series of short and concise lessons, breaking each layer of my painting process down into a step by step guide. So you can work one lesson at a time and easily pick up where you left off when you return. There is also a short platform navigation guide video.
In this Module, I will guide you through the supplies and tools I have used to create this course, I predominantly paint using a stay-wet palette, and I have included a video on how I set this up.
I wanted to include this mini class as a practice lesson to help get into the painting flow and as a confidence builder before moving on to the main lessons. In this class we cover simple drawing and painting techniques to create bird forms, moving on to use stencils to create pattern and character. I encourage you to try any stencil designs you have and experiment with the effects. We then use negative painting to adjust and refine the shape and sizes of our birds, before moving on to add fine line details with neo colors and acrylic paint pens. It's a fun class, enjoy!
Let's get painting!
In this module, I will guide you step by step creating 'Birdsong'. This bright and colourful class is full of sunshine and happy vibes! There are 11 lessons to complete the painting. In this module, I guide you each step of the way, creating 'Blossoms' a class celebrating colour. I will guide you from start to finish, one brushstroke at a time, from the first messy layers to the final floral flourishes. There are 12 short manageable lessons to complete this painting.

Thank you so much for choosing my course, I have loved every minute creating it for you and I hope you have enjoyed completing it too! Please feel free to share your art creations...I seriously do a little happy dance every time I see them, it really makes my day!

I've attached the course supply list below for you, it is really not necessary to have everything on the list, it depends on how closely you want to follow along with my process.
A few substitute tips...
the catalyst tools can be substituted for an old bank card.
the luminous acrylic paints can be substituted for regular paint e.g. cadmium red and a vibrant magenta pink, I have used the luminous paints to add a little extra vibrancy.
You can choose any stencil designs, I have included a mini class showcasing using a selection of stencils to explore different effects, its not necessary to have the same stencil designs as me.
I encourage you to substitute colours for similar colours you may have, or use your own colour palette.
You could choose to paint on paper (or wooden panel) instead of canvas, I've completed the course on paper and canvas and was delighted with both finishes.
