No, it's not necessary, It depends on how closely you want to work along with me, if you want to follow step by step, then you will need similar supplies, I encourage you to use what you have at hand. It's a good idea to watch through the lessons first so you can decide on your paint palette and supplies.

I will be logged into the course platform Mon-Fri during the first 2 weeks from launch, to be on hand to answer questions and respond to any comments. After the launch period, I will be available within the course platform 2-3 days during the week to respond to your questions and comments. Yes! There is 'The Art Hub' which is included within this course platform, so once you're logged in to work on the course lessons you can access the community while here... no need to leave the platform. I will be popping into the community regularly to chat, it's a place for us all to connect, share art, support, and cheer each other along. In The Bird Sketchbook, we use birds as our inspiration as we fill our pages with expressive mixed media, mark making, and creative energy. I love sharing the techniques that have helped me build my own practice, so you can grow in confidence and develop your own joyful, expressive style.
In each lesson I guide you through my own process-chatting through my choices, what’s working, what I might change, and how you can make it your own. It’s about learning through doing, experimenting, and building your creative confidence one sketchbook page at a time.
A full list of all the materials I use in the course across all 16 lessons - but please don’t feel you need everything! I really encourage you to use what you already have and swap in similar colours or supplies. This course is all about exploration, not perfection, and there’s plenty of room to make it your own.

I'm an artist from N.Ireland. I paint daily using exciting colour combinations, creating bold, colour-rich florals and nature inspired art from my garden studio.
